Hockley Heath Admissions
Hockley Heath Academy welcomes applications from all interested parents, irrespective of home address. Families who do not live in Solihull may still apply to attend Hockley Heath Academy. In the first instance, parents are encouraged to visit the school during the school day. Each year we hold an Open Day at the start of the autumn term. However prospective parents are welcome to visit the school at any other time by prior arrangement. Please contact the school office on (01564) 783161 to make an appointment.
If you would like to proceed with a formal application to the school, these are administered through Solihull Council. For families living in Solihull, the majority of applications are now handled online. Please see http://www.solihull.gov.uk/admissions for more information.
Applications for a nursery place
If you would like to apply for a nursery place starting in September 2019 you should apply online to Solihull Council by 1 December 2018. You can make a late application after the closing date. Please contact the admissions team on 0121 704 6693 for more information.
Applications for a place in reception
If you would like to apply online for a reception place starting in September 2019 you should apply to your home council by 15 January 2019. Please contact School Admissions at Solihull Council on 0121 704 6693 if you miss the closing date.
Applications for other vacant places
On occasion, we receive requests for places outside of the normal point of intake. Please contact the school office on (01564) 783161 to make an appointment and discuss further details. These documents can be downloaded from the resources box to the right. They explain how we will work with Solihull Council throughout the application process, and are reviewed and published every year. They also show how places will be offered if there are more applications than places available.
If you have not been offered a place at this school you have the right of appeal against the decision not to allocate a place to your child. Appeals are heard by an independent panel.

Appeals received after the closing date will be heard within the schedule, if possible. However, if the form is received in late June the appeal may not be heard until after the school summer holidays. Appeals are not heard during the school holidays.
